In 2007 Tranzact, Inc. was purchased by Metalico, Inc. (AMEX: MEA) of Cranford, NJ. Metalico, Inc. is a diversified metals recycler and manufacturer with nearly 600 employees throughout the United States. Metalico is the country’s largest lead fabricator, other than batteries, with lead manufacturing and recycling facilities located in Alabama, Nevada and Illinois.
