Founder Bill Zimmerman is a graduate of Penn State with a degree in Metallurgy, and founded Tranzact, Inc. in 1984 after considerable refractory metals experience in international sales and trading at the executive level. He founded Tranzact, Inc. to focus on new products for the industries we serve.

Since it's founding, the company has grown and developed expertise in both sales, processing personnel and equipment. Today, Tranzact, Inc. can offer a well-trained team with more than 54 years of combined industry experience in specialty refractory metals sales and service.
